The modern market of IT infrastructure in Ukraine develops in the conditions of network decentralization, capacity relocation, and the strict necessity of ensuring data center autonomy. 19" server cabinets (floor-standing solutions for data centers)

Classic 19-inch floor-standing server cabinets constitute the basis of both large Ukrainian commercial data centers and local data processing centers at relocated enterprises. Heavy server arrays, switches, and powerful industrial UPS systems are placed in them.

Hardware specifics: In modern realities, high load capacity and anti-vibration resistance of hinges are important, since the cabinets experience additional vibration loads. Lock handles for such industrial enclosures are selected taking into account ergonomics and the possibility of integration with electronic access control systems (ACS). 

Telecommunications cabinets (wall-mounted and floor-standing)

Hardware specifics. Wall-mounted and floor-standing telecommunications cabinets are often mounted in conditions of space shortage (basement premises, vestibules, technical floors). For the convenience of quick installation and emergency network maintenance, sheet or hidden hinges with a door leaf opening angle of up to 180° are necessary. Locks must be compact, but with a high compression density, to completely eliminate door play. Inside, it is desirable to mount folding and recessed handle designs. 

Climate and anti-vandal outdoor cabinets

Due to the necessity of duplicating communication channels and network decentralization, a high demand for protected outdoor cabinets is recorded throughout Ukraine. They are installed on communication masts, building roofs, and open areas, sheltering active telecommunications equipment.

Hardware specifics. Extreme requirements are imposed on these components. Industrial hardware is obliged to have maximum anti-corrosion resistance. Therefore, the use of elements made of stainless steel (grades AISI 304 / AISI 316) is preferable. Hardware made of zinc alloys (ZAMAK) must have a durable powder or polymer coating to withstand sharp temperature drops and high humidity. A wear-resistant EPDM seal is mandatory, guaranteeing an enclosure protection class of not lower than IP55 / IP65 (complete isolation from dust, downpours, and snow). To counter looting and vandalism, exclusively three-point mortise locks with an increased level of secrecy and hidden concealed hinges that cannot be cut from the outside are used.

Control panels and automation distribution boards

These industrial enclosures are responsible for the power supply of IT infrastructure, switching of diesel generators, inverters, and automatic transfer switch (ATS) systems, which have become a mandatory part of any communication node.

Hardware specifics. For automation boards, reliability and access speed in emergency situations are in the first place. Here, reliable quarter-turn compression locks (for butterfly, triangle, or square keys) are the industrial standard. A high-quality sealing profile around the door perimeter protects the contacts of relays, starters, and controllers from the ingress of fine dust and soot during the operation of backup power systems.

Data center equipment (modular and mobile data centers)

Modern data center equipment in Ukraine is increasingly deployed in the format of modular or container solutions that can be quickly moved or placed in protected underground perimeters.

Industrial hardware specifics. When designing the isolation systems for "cold and hot aisles" in such data centers, massive sliding or swing doors are used. The used roller guides, handles, and specialized sealing contours must possess a significant safety margin and ensure perfect airtightness of air flows. This is necessary for the effective operation of climate systems and effective damping of constant vibrations from continuously operating ventilation equipment.

Wear resistance. Mechanisms must withstand 10,000–20,000 open/close cycles without play and misalignments.

Climate resistance. Operation in the range from -50 to +120°C without loss of elasticity and deformation.

Fire safety. Plastic elements and seals are obliged to comply with the UL94-V0 self-extinguishing standard.

The structural strength and continuous earthing of the enclosures meet the requirements of EN 61587-1 and EN 61010-1. 

Materials and design. Products made from moulded plastic adhere to the DIN EN ISO 1043-1 standard (classification of plastics). Metal products must meet the corrosion resistance standards outlined in DSTU EN 1670.
