In contrast to quater turn locks, handle locks with swinghandles have a much higher torque. In addition, this hardware provides a high degree of security for server and telecom cabinets.
Rod latch systems for electrical enclosures with one or two locking cylinders (tandem cylinders) are available on the market.
How the swinghandle works
The rotary knob has a hole for the key. To open the product you need:
- Turn the key. This releases the handle.
- Turn the handle 90°. It will dislodge the transoms.
Single-cylinder handles open one lock. The two-cylinder handles offer more security.

The price difference is due to the materials used: the most expensive products are made entirely of metal, the least expensive - where the body and the handle are made of plastic.
