Double cord end insulated terminals – cable connectors – TE type
Double cord end insulated terminals TE are suitable for crimping two conductors at once. This is sometimes necessary when connecting cables to electrical equipment.
The choice of one or another connector depends on factors such as the cross-section of wires, their number, the type of equipment to which the cables are connected, etc.
It consists of a metal sleeve (tinned copper) and a plastic part (the so-called skirt). The PVC skirt is designed to insulate the unpressed part of the cables, as well as to guide the cables into the sleeve itself, without spending a lot of time and effort.

This is a reliable connection of two wires. The wires themselves can be of the following types: mono-core, for the connection of which the terminals are not required, and multicore, when connected, they are an indispensable assistant.
On the Ukrainian market, there are many cable terminals of insulated type, or tubular (pin). Their variety is primarily due to the cross-sectional area of the cables being crimped (it can vary from 0.25 to 150 mm2). They are marked as follows: NShVI N-N1 (2), or TPSI. The letter T means the word "tip", P – pin, S – sleeve, and the presence of the letter "I" determines the presence of insulation, respectively (N is the cross-sectional area of the cable used, and N1 is the length of that part of the product on which there is no insulation). In the case of TE-type connectors for two conductors, the marking acquires the number 2 in brackets: "(2)".

Using of double cord end insulated terminals
For successful work with copper tubular tips, the following rules should be observed.
- It is necessary to strip the insulation on conductors several millimeters longer than the length of the contact part of this product.
- The total length of the product and the contact part must be taken into account. If you buy a lug of the wrong length, you can lose equipment due to a fire in the place of improper contact.
- This product must be sized for the cables to be crimped.
- Individual wires must not be allowed to extend outside the insulating sheath. Neglect of this advice can also have disastrous consequences, because in this case, a short circuit may occur.
